Hello Friends of the Environment,

The Environmental Center of San Diego is excited to announce that this year’s Environmental Leadership Summit (ELS) will be held at Marina Village on September 26. Sign-in starts at 8:30 a.m. with refreshments available inside. The program starts promptly at 9:00 a.m. and lasts till 2:00 p.m.

We are honored to welcome California Natural Resources Secretary Wade Crowfoot as this year’s keynote speaker.

Secretary Crowfoot is leading efforts to achieve Governor Newsom’s ambitious environmental vision, including California’s commitment to conserve 30 percent of the state’s land and coastal waters by 2030. He oversees billions of dollars in public investment to protect people and natural places from climate change impacts and has guided California through record-breaking droughts, floods, and wildfires. Secretary Crowfoot has also advanced a new era of partnership with California Native American Tribes and is helping reshape how state agencies serve communities across California.
