CNRA’s 30×30 Partnership Summit August 2025 was a tremendous success!
The Summit drew overwhelming attendance with over 700 participants, both in-person and online, and a substantial waitlist. Around 75 Power in Nature members attended the event! The sessions featured exceptional speakers, incredible field tours, and inspiring collaboration amongst partners. One of the highlights was the Fort Yuma Quechan Tribe receiving the 30×30 Leadership Award—a well-deserved recognition that provided an inspirational moment for all attendees.
Power in Nature’s session From Maps to Memes: Creative Tools to Build Power and Raise Awareness for 30×30 received particularly positive feedback. Our interactive workshop and excellent speakers equipped participants with creative, practical tools to drive engagement, build influence, and elevate their campaigns to advance 30×30. We are extremely grateful to our speakers: Melanie Schlotterbeck from Hills For Everyone, Moises Cisneros from the Sierra Club, Krystian LaHage from Mojave Desert Land Trust, Katie Hawkins from Outdoor Alliance, and Liv O’Keeffe from CNPS, with Michelle Fullner, who hosts the Golden State Naturalist podcast.

On the day before the Summit, CNRA hosted an International 30×30 Day with representatives from other nations who shared their conservation approaches. It was inspiring to see how leaders from other countries are looking to California for guidance on how to move forward with 30×30.
