Celebration for California’s MPAs (Marine Protected Areas) in La Jolla.

On Tuesday, November 1st, there was a celebration for California’s MPAs (Marine Protected Areas) in La Jolla. The backdrop was the Matlahuayl State Marine Reserve which is part of the MPA’s found in San Diego. It is the only MPA with a Native American name. It is also the termination of our Princess St Coastal Access Trail. The Secretary of the CA Natural Resources Agency, Wade Crowfoot, was here as was Senate Pro Tem Toni Atkins, along with a host of other notables.
