Tidepool Walk During King Tide
Nov 17, 2024

On November 17th, 2024 the Surfrider Foundation along with the Environmental Center of San Diego, led a tidepool walk during a King Tide in La Jolla Shores to learn about Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) and learn more about the opening of Princess Street. Although still in the second phase of the project, we wanted to bring more awareness to the access trail, and encourage people to explore the beautiful tide pools that will become more accessible through the opening of the trail. The tide pooling was a success! With over 50 people signed up to come, there were open discussions on how to tide pool respectfully, the importance of MPAs, and the upcoming plans with Princess Street. Below are some photos of the event.
